We Have Company: Out of Towners

Friday: Balboa Island

Dinner at Amelia’s. Seafood indulging. Took the Balboa Island ferry (3 car ferry) back to the pennisula. Fun little cruise. Fun job to have. Crusing, boozing, rocking the boat. Turn up the volume.

Saturday: LA

T-Rash and Down SINdrome on a weekend mission with the folks. Unfortunately, BLoas was missing in action. Laos is in the house! Another weekend without BLoas, another weekend of quiet desperation.

Started off: Sneaker hunting in Downtown LA. A girl cannot have enough Blazers. Urth Café for brunch. They always get my bread pudding wrong. Fell in love with an MV Agusta parked on Beverly. Shopping on Rodeo, spotted at least 20 Bentleys, 10 Ferraris, 4 Aston Martin, a few Rolls Royce, and one Vector. The best store on Rodeo: Westime: my dream collection: Jaquet Droz, Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet. Tell time, don’t tell lies. A girl’s best friend: Harry Winston. A girl’s next best friend: De Beers. The perfect ring was selected with the perfect diamond cut. Elegant yet simple, not outlandishly pretentious. After the transaction, the sales lady comments, “Congratulations, Amen!” What?!? No one’s getting married you crack head. Drove through Melrose in search for Table 8 and Providence. Reservations are booked at Providence, ended up dining at McCormick & Schmick. Entered the Beverly Wilshire, as seen on Pretty Women. T-Rash was greeted by the doorman, “Nice to see you again!” Apparently someone comes here often.

Sunday: Costa Mesa

Dinner at the Westin: Pinot Provence
Can get use to eating frog legs, but not liver. Hard to indulge in the liver: the thought of force-feeding a goose to fatten the liver is not a very pleasant imagery.
